  • 1 large egg (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)


Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm goat milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk flour and salt. Create a well in the center.

  3. Combine Wet & Dry: Add yeast mix, melted butter, honey, and egg (if using) into the well. Mix to form shaggy dough.

  4. Knead: Knead dough for 8–10 mins until smooth. Use stand mixer or do by hand.

  5. First Rise: Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hrs until doubled.

  6. Shape Dough: Punch down, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased pan.

  7. Second Rise: Cover again and let rise for 30–45 mins. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. Bake: Bake for 25–30 mins until golden brown and sounds hollow.

  9. Cool & Serve: Cool for 15 mins before slicing. Optional: Brush top with melted goat milk butter.
