Description

 This easy Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles recipe is loaded with bold flavors, comes together in one skillet, and is ready in just 25 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 8 oz egg noodles, ramen, or linguine

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)


Instructions

 

  1. Cook noodles according to package. Drain, toss with sesame oil, and set aside.

  2. Brown beef in a large skillet (6–8 mins). Drain excess fat.

  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté 30 seconds.

  4. Whisk sauce: soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin, cornstarch, broth. Add to pan.

  5. Simmer sauce for 2–3 mins until thickened.

  6. Add noodles, toss to coat. Simmer 2 more mins.

  7. Serve hot, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Use rice noodles for gluten-free.

  • Swap beef for ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based crumbles.

  • Add veggies like broccoli, bell peppers, or shredded carrots.

  • Make extra sauce if you like it saucy!
